FAQs
HOW DO YOU WORK?
My approach is rooted in person-centred psychotherapy, which means I won’t judge, analyse, or tell you who you should be. Instead, I offer a warm, confidential space where you can bring whatever feels important, confusing, or painful. You don’t need to have the “right” words or a clear starting point - we go at your pace, and I walk alongside you as things begin to unfold.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
There’s no fixed number. Some people come for a short period to explore a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy to make sense of deeper or ongoing experiences. We might begin with six sessions and review together as we go. You are never tied in, and you remain in control of the pace and duration.
DO YOU OFFER ONLINE SESSIONS?
Yes. All my sessions are held online via a secure video platform. Many people find this offers flexibility, privacy, and comfort - especially when life feels overwhelming or travelling to an appointment isn’t manageable.
DO YOU OFFER AN INTRODUCTORY SESSION?
Yes. I offer a free 25-minute introductory session. This is simply a chance for us to meet, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There’s no pressure to make a decision on the spot.
HOW MUCH DOES EACH SESSION COST?
Each session is £85 and lasts 50 minutes.
I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces on a sliding scale, depending on individual circumstances and availability. If finances are a concern, please feel free to get in touch to discuss options - we can explore what might be possible.
WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO TALK ABOUT?
That’s more common than you might think. Many people arrive unsure of where to begin. You don’t need a clear story, a reason that feels “big enough,” or a neatly organised explanation. We start wherever you are, and go gently from there.
WHAT IF I BECOME EMOTIONAL OR CRY?
You’re welcome to bring your feelings into the space - tears, silence, frustration, confusion, and laughter all have a place here. You don’t need to hold yourself together. Therapy can be one of the few places where you don’t have to.
HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS?
Each session lasts 50 minutes. This is your time, and how we use it is guided by what feels most present for you on the day.
